Access and scaffolding
Most commercial skylights sit 15–40 feet above the floor. Depending on ceiling height and skylight configuration, we use rolling scaffolding, aerial lifts, or custom staging platforms. We assess access requirements during the free on-site survey and include all equipment in the project quote — no surprise fees.
02Evenings & weekends
After-hours installation
For occupied offices, retail spaces, and restaurants, we schedule installation during off-hours — evenings, weekends, or before business opens. Film application involves water and squeegee work overhead, which isn't compatible with normal business operations below.
03Determined on-site
Interior vs. exterior application
Most commercial skylight film is applied to the interior surface. However, skylights inaccessible from inside — or with textured interior glass — may require exterior-applied film rated for direct weather exposure. We determine the correct approach during the assessment.
Skylight film cures in 15–45 days depending on Houston humidity levels and the time of year. During curing, slight haziness or small water pockets are normal and clear completely. We advise clients not to clean newly filmed skylights for 30 days post-installation.

Glass compatibility check
Not all skylight glass is compatible with every film type. Tempered, laminated, wired, and insulated glass units each have different thermal stress tolerances. Applying the wrong film to the wrong glass can cause cracking or seal failure. We check glass type and manufacturer specifications before recommending any product — and we document our assessment in writing.
